Associate of Science in Applied Health

The Applied Health program leading to an Associate of Science degree is a dual enrolled degree program between The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences and 51³Ô¹Ï. In addition to the Associate of Science degree graduates will receive a Diploma in Nursing from RH-SHS. The RH-SHS Diploma in Nursing Program is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Admission Requirements

The AH program student admission is the responsibility and at the discretion of the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences. Admission standards meet and/or exceed 51³Ô¹Ï’s admission standards. Admission to the AH program is competitive and the selection of students will be based on personal composition, academic ability, references, interview performance, aptitude tests, writing samples, and previous healthcare experiences.
